Puli Movie Review

Puli is an Indian Fantasy film written and directed by Chimbhu devan. The film features Ilayathalapathy Vijay in a dual role alongside an ensemble cast including  Sudeep, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu and Nandita Swetha. Produced by Vijay’s public relations officer Selvakumar, the film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, Natarajan Subramaniam as the cinematographer and has T. Muthuraj as an Art director.

A grand fantasy journey, the Chimbu Deven directed Puli hits the screens after facing a few minor release setbacks. Despite having a huge star like Vijay on board, Chimbu plays to his strengths in Puli and we have many of the director’s trademark touches and notions. With practical cutbacks, he also has pulled off a project of such a scale quite effectively.

Overall to put in a nutshell, a journey(Movie) which was supposed to be amazing got tiring a bit due to many diversions(Screenplay) in the forest. Puli is ultimately an effort which needs to be positively considered. It isn’t everyday that a splendid film such as this is made.
