A matriculation school aided the students malpractice

Thiruvannamalai: Collector Mr Ansul Misra has taken a severe action to cancel approval for the Thiruvannamalai Mount St Joseph Matriculation school, which allegedly issued the xeroxed answer sheets to the 10th standard public exam students to increase their percentage of passes and ranks.

After getting an anonymous call about the malpractice, collector Mr Ansul Misra, went to the particular school in a private TATA Sumo avoiding his official car, got down few meteres away from the school, entered the school snatching the cell phone from the Watchman, then disconnected all the phones in the school, caught red handed all the xeroxed answer sheets to be distributed to the students. There were also covers with 200 rupees each collected from the students to get the answer sheets. Seven teachers on duty were suspended immediately. New teaching officials were brought in to continue the exam. The assistants were allowed to work till the exam was over and then relieved.

Education department is taking severe steps to cancel the approval as well as in this academic year itself the students will be transfered to other schools. The answer sheets are not going to pre allotted correction centres, they are getting in to special correction centre to be set up at chennai.

This incident has spoiled the image of the matriculation schools very much and been taken in a severe manner.
