Director R Parthipan’s Manitha neya manram awarded Humanitarian award to Mr Suresh of Kerala. He is a Lottery seller who gave the money Rs. 1 crore 40000 to a poor old man who has only booked the ticket (but not bought it. The award was for his nonesty and was brought to Chennai in flight, garlanded and brought it a big branded car to the venue. He has been given Rs1 lakh cash, MNM is going to set up a shop for him in his native and Actor Vivek has offered Rs. 25000/- each for the education of the two children of Mr Suresh.
The award function was combined with Blood camp and also eye donation to Sankara nethralaya. More youngsters were interested and each and every participant donated blood.
This is a good work for a good cause.
Moreover in his speech, Mr Parthipan said ,’ So many people asked me why are you choosing a Kerala person for humanitarian award? Is there no tamil person for this award? They are fighting for the water and Mullaperiyar issue. But I told them that, Mullaperiyar issue is a political issue and we should be refrained from that. And praising and appreciating the honesty of the Keralite will improve the relationship between Tamil Nadu and Kerala and so this will develop a good conscious dam between the hearts of both the people. This dam will solve the problem of that dam issue”
