Frauds by Flying Schools

Based on the investigation report submitted by the Chief Vigilance Officer in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation regarding alleged irregularities in various flying schools, the CVC had directed the Ministry of Civil Aviation to fix responsibility of officials of DGCA and Airports Authority of India in the matter. The observations of the CVC in the matter was examined, it was decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the three officials alleged to have been involved. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had also sought permission from the CVC for further investigations in the matter. Thereafter, it has also been decided to re-examine the eligibility criteria for flying schools for availing the facility of payment of nominal rates for different charges in the context of requirement of flying schools for training purposes in the whole country. 

This information was given by the Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Ajit Singh in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
