Income Tax Department has raised a 577-crore rupees tax demand notice on Infosys for 2009-10 assessment year.

But Infosys says that it is in the process of seeking legal recourse against the fresh tax demand notice.

Infosys is already contesting additional Income Tax demands of about 1,175 crore rupees for four fiscals years beginning 2005.
