PCB officially announced the launch of the Pakistan Super League, with it’s season to be played in 2016. Former captains Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja have signed formal contracts to be brand ambassadors of the PSL for the next three years.
West Indians Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine have already confirmed their participation for PSL. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al-Hasan, New Zealand all-rounder Grant Elliot and Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews will also play in the tournament.
The maiden season of the PSL is set to include 5 teams from the rural capitals – Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta – and include 24 matches between February 4-24.
