Punjab elections recorded high turn out!

Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu said in a press note in Chandigarh that Punjab has recorded 77% of voting..this is the maximum percentage of polling since 1967.
Sangrur district recorded the highest 83 percent turn out and it was lowest in Taran Taran 69 percent.

Guru Harsahai constituency recorded maximum 90 percent turn out while Amritsar West constituency recorded 56 percent.

The Chief Electoral Officer said, except small incident there was no violence in the state and polling was peaceful. She thanked the electorate for maintaining peace during polling.
