Revamping of Chennai Metro police in 5.38 crores _CM

Chennai: As per the press release of Tamilnadu, Chief Minister J Jayalalitha has ordered for revamping of Chennai metro police at the cost of Rupees 34 crores. This revamping includes appointment of more officers, getting more patrol cars, improve the infrastructure of police stations, getting chairs for the stations, getting a new building at Thanjavur, building Barracks for the special duty staff to stay,allotting computers to different departments, creating a scientific wing in CBCID and special training to all the officers to update the technical and technological knowledge of the officers. Getting 10 chairs for a station for the public to sit while complaining is the first of its kind in India
