Rs. 5.73 Crores – a record collection at Thirumala

Thirupathi: There was a record collection of Rs. 5.73 Crores in Thirumala Thirupathi on Saturday alone. Generally the hundi collection will be an average of 3 to 4 crores. Even Rs. 4 crores on January 1st New year day celebrations. But due to vacations and holidays ahead, there was a record collection on saturday. The average pilgrim visit will be 60 to 70000 and in auspicious days goes to 1lakh visitors. The average collection of the year goes to 650 crores to 700 crores for the last years and previously it used to be 350 crores.
