Science Exhibition in Anna Gems Park School

The Chennai Science Festival  ‐2012 will be organised by the Science City,
Government  of Tamil Nadu and Anna University Chennai within the premises of Anna
Gem Science Park School, Gandhi  Mandapam Road, Chennai from the 27th to 30th January, 2012. The festival will be open on all days from 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. The Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Thiru P. Palaniappan will inaugurate the Chennai Science Festival 2012 at 10.00 a.m. on 27thJanuary, 2012 and Dr. T.S. Sridhar,I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department will preside. 
The main objective of the Chennai Science Festival‐2012 is to create awareness
among student’s community and Public about the “Science in Everyday Life” and
inculcate a scientific temper among the visiting students and public. The Chennai
Science festival will comprise of 3 broad categories viz., Mega Science Exhibition,
Popular Lectures and Panel Discussions.
University of Madras, Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Madras Atomic Power station,
M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation etc., will be participating in the festival by exhibiting Science models in 5 broad themes viz., Health, Energy, Environment, Veterinary Science and Basic Sciences.
